Rent-a-Tent acts as the controller for the processing of your personal data in the context of the reservation website for stays at the campsites. Where this policy refers to 'we', 'us' or 'our', this concerns Rent-a-Tent. We are responsible for the processing of your data and manages all collected information with the utmost care and confidentiality.

4. My Rent-a-Tent

When you make a reservation, you are automatically registered with the “My Rent-a-Tent” service. As part of this process, we need your email address. Your email address and reservation number are required to log in securely to “My Rent-a-Tent”.

5. Links to external websites

Our website may contain links to external websites, such as Facebook. When you click on these links, you acknowledge that the use of these websites is subject to their own terms and conditions and privacy policies. Rent-a-Tent has no control over how these websites use or store your information. For questions or complaints about the use of your information by these websites, you should contact the administrators of the relevant website. If you share data with both Rent-a-Tent and the external website, only the information specifically provided to Rent-a-Tent is subject to our privacy policy. Always check the terms and conditions and privacy policies of the external websites.

6. How long will the data be retained?

Rent-a-Tent retains and uses your personal data for a certain period of time. After 10 years from the time of the last interaction (e.g. last email activity) or from the time you request Rent-a-Tent to stop, your personal data will no longer be used for marketing purposes, whichever comes first. From then on, your data will be minimised and used only for analytical purposes.

Rent-a-Tent uses various social networks, such as Facebook, Instagram and YouTube. If permitted under applicable laws and regulations, we may share limited personal data, such as your email address, with social networking sites such as Facebook and Google. The social networking sites with which we can share your personal data are not managed or controlled by Rent-a-Tent.
