Every year, we arrange holidays for thousands of holidaymakers in Europe: from the Netherlands and Germany to France, Italy and Slovenia. In as many as ten countries. Our mission is to offer you a comfortable and luxurious glamping or camping holiday at all our destinations and to provide our guests with a wonderful holiday: through glamping, a wide range and hospitality on location, but also through a healthy dose of Twente sobriety and corporate social responsibility.

Glamping

Camping becomes a real experience with glamping: a combination of glamour and camping. Go on holiday in comfort and camp in a furnished tent, including your own shower, toilet, spacious kitchen and bedrooms. Experience the ultimate outdoor feeling in the Grand Lodgetent, which the owner, Mr Gersen, developed himself. The generous Grand Lodgetent is a spacious canvas/lodgetent of 50 m², including its own (outdoor) kitchen, bathroom with toilet and three bedrooms. Or enjoy outdoor life under the awning in the six-person GlamLodge. This unique, self-designed lodge tent has a modern and attractive appearance! In 2023, Rent-a-Tent will have been in the camping business for 35 years.

Plenty of choice and daily flexibility

A comfortable and luxurious camping holiday? In a fully equipped bungalow, safari or lodge tent or modern mobile home from Rent-a-Tent you will enjoy a carefree holiday! Our offer is large: in addition to two mobile home models, there are sixteen different types of tents. Moreover, our arrival days are flexible: you can arrive at the campsite and depart on any day (except Tuesdays). This way, you can avoid traffic jams on the motorways on busy Saturdays. Plenty of choice and flexibility!

On-site hospitality

What is unique is that on almost all campsites, our Rent-a-Tent representatives are the first point of contact. The Rent-a-Tent managers know Europe like no other and often know the best spots in the area. They make sure that your accommodation is clean and tidy on arrival, arrange the check-in and check-out and record any complaints and, if possible, resolve them. With this personal approach, your holiday really starts!

Dutch sobriety

Rent-a-Tent is a Dutch family business of the Gersen family, located in the countryside of Markelo. Thorough professional knowledge, years of travel experience and a healthy dose of common sense are woven into our DNA. We can be reached on working days from 9.00 to 17.30 by phone, e-mail, the chat function of our site and social media.

Our mission is simple: to provide unforgettable holidays at the most beautiful destinations in Europe. And we are succeeding quite well, since 1987!

Corporate social responsibility

Rent-a-Tent is committed to corporate social responsibility. This means that we take into account the impact of our business operations on the environment, people and society as much as possible. For example, we have installed solar panels on the roof of our office and waste and paper is separated as much as possible at the campsites and our office. We try to be energy-efficient at our office. We also have a policy of reusing inventory whenever possible to avoid waste. Our tent builders, campsite representatives couples are mostly retirees: for them, we offer a suitable occupation on campsites at home and abroad after working. And finally, a number of office employees are AED-certified and, in case of an emergency in our local neighbourhood community, can operate the AED device, which is present in our office building for the immediate area in the neighbourhood community of Stokkum in Markelo.
