An enchanting camping holiday near Lake Maggiore!
Camping Valle Romantica is exactly what the name suggests: an enchanting location in the middle of the mountains, hidden in a narrow valley along the Cannobina River. This small-scale family campsite is the oldest camping of Lake Maggiore and has been around since 1956. It is located just a short distance from Lake Maggiore and just 5 km from the Swiss border. Surrounded by lush greenery, the campsite offers an oasis of vibrant floral beauty, with azaleas and camellias serving as a natural divider between the camping pitches, so you can enjoy your camping holiday in Italy in peace!
Water fun at Valle Romantica
The Cannobina river flows past Valle Romantica towards Lake Maggiore. During the summer months, the fresh, clear water of the river invites you to enjoy hours of water fun. Here you can swim, snorkel and fish (permit required). There are several beaches on both sides along the river. The campsite also has a swimming pool (swimming cap required) with an extensive sun terrace with sun loungers. Enjoy the wonderful warm weather during your camping holiday in Italy!
Fun and adventure
The Cannobina Valley is a true paradise for hikers and climbers! Explore the beautiful surroundings on challenging cycling routes, challenge each other on the volleyball court or enjoy a game of table tennis. There is a playground for the children where they can have a great time. There are also numerous water sports options on the river, such as white-water rafting, kayaking and rafting.
Relaxation
The restaurant, housed in a former farm, is located in the heart of the Valle Romantica campsite. An old fireplace creates a cozy atmosphere during cooler days. Under the pergolas outside you can enjoy delicious dishes from Italian and international cuisine. All basic necessities for a tasty breakfast are available at the campsite. Within walking distance of the campsite you will find the village of Cannobio, directly on Lake Maggiore, with several nice cafés and restaurants.
Do you really want to taste the pleasures of life? The campsite owner also manages the nearby Osteria 'Vino Divino'. In this traditional restaurant with wine cellar you can dine among the locals of Cannobio.
