Activities and Facilities
Camping Viechtach offers a wide range of facilities for all ages, such as a kids' club, playroom, youth disco, cable car, billiards, pétanque, table football, and a table tennis table. For younger children, there is a fun playground. If you prefer to relax, you can enjoy a swim in the heated indoor pool with a sun terrace, the perfect place for a refreshing dip. Additionally, the Freibad Viechtach is just 1 km away, and you can visit it for free with your tourist tax card, which also gives you access to the city bus, regular buses, and Waldbahn train lines.
During high season, there are regular excursions, such as a visit to a local brewery or a horse-drawn carriage ride (for a fee). Nearby, you can enjoy fitness, tennis, or mini-golf. Also, don't miss the toboggan run for a thrilling ride down the hill or spend a day at a nearby amusement park!
For hiking enthusiasts, Camping Viechtach is the perfect base, with numerous well-marked trails through the surrounding green forests. After an active day, you can relax in the sauna or infrared cabin (for a fee).
In the evenings, there is regular entertainment, such as live music, mini-disco, bingo, and more. In August, there is even a country and line dance festival! Indulge in a variety of treats at the campsite shop, which offers a bread roll service, or dine at the restaurant offering delicious pizzas, burgers, and cocktails. For typical Bavarian dishes, visit the second restaurant located near the reception.

Camping Knaus Viechtach is also a dog paradise! If you want to bring your faithful four-legged friend, this is the perfect place. There are designated off-leash areas for dogs, and even a dog shower. Upon request, you can also take advantage of a dog trainer for a fee to help care for your furry companion.

Holiday Home Type A (56 m²) is a comfortable and spacious holiday home, suitable for up to 5 people. The holiday home features a covered terrace where you can fully enjoy the outdoors. This holiday home is ideal for families and offers plenty of space and comfort for a relaxing stay!
The holiday home has two bedrooms: the master bedroom is equipped with a double bed, and the second bedroom has a bunk bed and a single bed, perfect for a family with children.
The cozy living and dining room is equipped with a television and provides a pleasant space to gather together. The fully equipped kitchenette has everything you need for a carefree stay, including a coffee maker, microwave, oven, refrigerator, kettle, electric stove, and a radio.
The bathroom includes a shower, sink, and toilet. Additionally, the terrace of the holiday home is furnished with a set of garden furniture, allowing you to enjoy the nature and the view outside.

Directly next to the campsite Viechtach begin many hiking trails that take you to the romantic valley of the '' Black Rain '', the reservoir Höllenstein and the quartz formations of the Grossen Pfahls. The 30 meter high "WaldWipfelWeg" is also recommended, this is Germany's highest treetop walk.
About an hour from the campsite you will be in the city of Regensburg. Regensburg is one of the preserved medieval towns and oldest cities in Germany. The old town and Stadtamhof district have even been declared a World Heritage Site. You can also admire the Regensburger Dom, Sankt Emmeram Castle, the old town hall, various churches and much more in the city.
If you are hungry after a long and active day, of course you can have a bite at the campsite, but in the town of Viechtach you will find plenty of opportunities to find a nice restaurant to tast the local specialties.
