Starting from camping Domaine la Yole you can walk to Valras-Plage, with a lovely market, a beautiful boulevard and the many cosy terraces. With additional payment, you can take a train to the city, during the season. This way you don't have to walk. The train leaves once an hour on the hour till 01.00 (at night).
If you want to explore the area we recommend a visit to Carcassonne. This city has a medieval city centre, where you can enjoy the restored citadel and narrow streets. Carcassonne is part of the UNESCO World Heritage list.
We also strongly recommend to visit the city of Béziers, one of the most beautiful cities in France. Here you can visit the Roman arena, the cathedral of Saint Nazaire, the beautiful gardens and the old bridges over the river L'Orb. All of this makes Béziers a must see if you ask us.
