Campsite at the foot of the famous Alpe d'Huez
Welcome to camping Rochetaillée, where you’ll discover an unspoiled and protected area in the middle of Les Ecrins National Park. This region has diverse opportunities and offers you all the pleasures of glamping in the French Alps. Campsite le Château de Rochetaillée is situated at 700 meters high, along the mainroad to the centre of Bourg d'Oisans, around 7 km, and 20 km from the Massif des Ecrins. The centre of campsite Rochetaillée is the old country house and the restored farm. In these two buildings, you will find the bar and restaurant.
Activities
On this 4-star campsite, all members of the family will be entertained. On the campground terrain you can find sports activities, like diving, badminton, tennis, basketball and athletic facilities, like a climbing wall, table tennis tables, volleyball field, mini-golf, a soccer field and even a gym. You can relax in the spa area, where there is a sauna and a hammam. The swimming pool on camping Rochetaillée is surrounded with beautiful views of the French Alps. Also, it is partly covered with a sliding roof, which will ensure a fun and safe time for the children. They will especially love the water slide!
Animation
The animation team organises fun activities for young and old. During the day you can enjoy a sports tournament, excursions to the river, air sports, rafting, horseback riding and more. During the evening there are fun activities like unique shows, live music and a disco!

Camping Le Château de Rochetaillée offers many services and practical facilities such as a bread service, a library, a bar, an internet point, a restaurant, a business, bicycle rental, a launderette, an information center and many more. You will find a supermarket around 50 meters from the campsite.

Camping Château de Rochetaillée is the ideal base for a active vacation in the heart of the French Alps. Bikers can enjoy flat bike paths, challenging cycling routes and spectacular mountain bike rides, including gravel biking and downhilling from as high as 3,000 meters. A highlight for cycling enthusiasts is La Marmotte, an acclaimed 155-km and 5500-meter altitude tour.
Besides cycling and hiking, there are plenty of adventure activities to do in the immediate area. Visit the Oisans Adventure Park for a day of excitement or venture out on the summer toboggan run on Alp d'Huez. For water rats, there are several places to raft, such as at Intégral Rafting. The elevators in the area, which are open from June 30 to August 31, make it easy to traverse altitude differences and explore the mountains by bike or on foot. Day passes for the entire Alp d'Huez area provide access to these elevators, allowing you to travel effortlessly from one elevator station to another.
