How it all started...
Rent-a-Tent started 35 years ago as a "small" provider of tent holidays in France. Ready-to-use bungalow tents on atmospheric and rural campsites in France. The demand for furnished tents on campsites quickly grew and the program was expanded to Italy, Spain and the Netherlands. Later Croatia, Austria and Germany, among others, were added. From small-scale family campsites to luxury top campsites with water parks. Now Rent-a-Tent offers luxury camping holidays in 10 countries in Europe!
One of the highlights...
Developing your own tents is what makes Rent-a-Tent unique. The development of the large Grand Lodge tent for 8 people with its own bathroom with shower and toilet is certainly a highlight. The Grand Lodge tent has a large awning with a luxurious lounge set and outdoor kitchen underneath to relax. Now that's vacation!
Grown into an international travel company...
Started with only a Dutch website and mainly Dutch guests at the campsites, the Twente family business of the Gersen family has now grown into an international travel company with a website in 6 different languages and guests from all over Europe! With thorough professional knowledge, years of travel experience and a healthy dose of Twente sobriety, this international travel company is managed from the office in Markelo.
Our mission is simple: to provide unforgettable holidays in the most beautiful destinations in Europe. And it works quite well, since 1987!
